The Story about this TAC Claim

Tony Lee suffered a serious injury to his back in a motor vehicle accident. At the time of his accident he ran an automotive repair shop and took great pride in his work. His customers were both appreciative and loyal.

Following the accident, Tony’s ability to do the repair work suffered, but he was fortunate to be able to hire others to do the work while he took on a management role in the business. What Tony did lose, however, was the ability to do the hands-on work that he enjoyed in his occupation. He also lost the ability to practice Tae Kwon Do – the martial art he loved and had dedicated a great deal of his life to.

Tony had a history of minor complaints to his back but none had stopped him from his activities in the way that this accident did. His claim was truly for pain and suffering, yet the TAC did not believe it was serious enough and denied him a serious injury request. We issued proceedings for Tony and, just before the hearing, the TAC finally accepted that he deserved his serious injury certificate and his compensation.

It was a great relief for me and my family for all the distress and the agonies that we have endured for the five long years.  Although the compensation I received would not make my serious injuries, my pain and my suffering go away, at least it has helped me financially a little.
