The Story about this WorkCover Claim
Sharon was working two jobs in the disability support sector. One day while adjusting the seatback of a client’s wheelchair she felt something go in her back. Sharon took time off for conservative and specialist treatments, returned to work on modified duties, experienced an increase in symptoms and needed to take time off again.
Sadly, she then experienced a common sequence of events in WorkCover claim; her entitlements were ceased, and she was made to go through conciliation, a Magistrates Court proceeding and referral to a Medical Panel before these were reinstated. In the end this process took years.
Sharon was represented by a different personal injury firm through this time. After being with them, and being in the system, for six years she decided to move her file over to Henry Carus + Associates.
