The Story about this WorkCover Claim

Nicholas had a passion for restoring old vintage cars – a past time he had enjoyed with his brother since his younger days. It was therefore not surprising that a large part of his working career included employment as a truck driver. He particularly loved working on cars from the pre-war era, such as an old 1929 Chevrolet he and his brother had purchased from a friend.

Unfortunately for Nicholas, his employer failed to maintain their trucks in the same good working order that Nicholas had been accustomed to. Nicholas’ workplace was also unsafe because his employer, among other things,  failed to maintain the main entrance electronic gate on the premises in good working order. Due to the employer’s inaction, Nicholas injured both of his shoulders. Nicholas first needed surgery for the left shoulder and then later, the right shoulder. Even after surgery and rehabilitation, things were still not 100%, so he finally had to cease work. Nicholas came to Henry Carus + Associates for help.
