The Story about this TAC Claim

In October 2021, our client Yousef received a phone call from his distressed grandmother who was allegedly being subjected to domestic violence from a family member. Yousef quickly attended his grandmother’s house to help her and to apprehend the alleged offender. When Yousef arrived, the alleged offender started running away. As Yousef chased after him, he was struck by a motor vehicle.  Yousef sustained several injuries and required surgery to his right knee and both wrists.

The accident caused significant impact to Yousef’s life as he had to give up his pre-injury job as a painter and could no longer take part in sporting activities such as dirt bike riding and running. Given Yousef’s medical records revealed that he had a previous right knee injury, the TAC was initially hesitant in accepting that Yousef’s restrictions, and inability to work as a painter, were accident related. Despite some resistance from the TAC, we were able to get a result for Yousef that he was very happy with, without needing to go to court.
