The Story about this Public Liability Claim

It was a rainy day. Diana was walking into a shopping centre when she had a fall.

There was an entrance mat but it was sitting in a pool of water due to the volume of people going in with a large amount of water on their clothing, umbrellas, trolleys and prams, that is falling on the ground at the entrance.

Diana had stepped off the mat when she slipped on water on the tiled floor.

There was a second mat, but it was a thin, narrower mat, which was not wide enough to cover anyone walking on either side to access the shops.

We pursued her claim based on the shopping centre’s failure to install non-slip matting which covered the entire entrance way.

We managed to resolve Diana’s claim without going to Court.

I would like to thank all involved for your help in settling the claim in regards to my Fall at a Shopping centre November 2018.

I felt I was treated as the villain by responses from the shopping centre, my fall was never intentional.

I will have to live with the uncomfortableness/ slight pain for the rest of my life, every time I lift my leg to change, going upstairs, bending down etc. Though it could have been a lot worse.

All your staff have all been very approachable, helpful, friendly and down to earth which I hadn’t expected, which was a bonus!. This did not come at the cost of your professionalism.

The initial reason I chose Henry Carus Lawyers was because of the proximity of one of your offices to my home. Even though I am not far from the city, not many people like the idea of going to the centre of the city for an appointment, because of time, cost parking. This is a turnoff.

Other Lawyers ( the bigger ones Shine etc ) advertising had come across as very cold, impersonal and formal, so I thought I would give you guys a go and never looked back!
